Rules for access to objects in the Numismatic and Historical Memorabilia Division

Numismatic and Historical Memorabilia Division
THE COLLECTIONS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE ROOMS OF THE DIVISION

  1. As the Numismatic and Historical Memorabilia Division does not have a separate reading room, the collections are made available in the main studio of the Division, in room 22 or 24.
  2. The collections are made available to readers after obtaining the written consent (also by e-mail) of the Director of the Institute and after arranging the date of the visit and the scope of access with the head or the staff of the Numismatic and Historical Memorabilia Division.
  3. The Division's collections are made available to the reader by the curator of the collection from which the objects to be made available come, or by a member of staff delegated for this purpose. The member of staff assisting the reader should keep a constant watch on the items made available.
  4. For security reasons, only one person at a time is allowed in the room where the collection is made available. The number of items made available at any one time must not exceed 10. It is permissible to make more items available during a visit, but only in batches of no more than this number, so that the supervising member of the Division's staff can keep a constant eye on the items being made available.
  5. Books and periodicals from the reference collection of the Numismatic and Historical Memorabilia Division are available in the Main Reading Room of the Ossolineum Library.
