Art Division Reading Room

The Art Division Reading Room is located in the main building of the Ossolineum at 37 Szewska Street in Wroclaw, on the first floor, in room 122.

The reading room has one place for one reader. It is not adapted for the disabled.

Readers registered with the Ossolineum Library have access to selected items from the Art Division's reference collection (multi-volume encyclopaedias and periodicals, rare books) - other volumes are available in the Main Reading Room of the Ossolineum Library.

The Art Division Reading Room also provides access to the museum collections of the Art Division:

in the form of photographic or digital documentation - to anyone authorised to use the collections of the Ossolineum for research purposes,
in the form of original museum collections - only to authorised readers (employees of universities and other scientific or cultural institutions, as well as doctoral candidates and students with a written recommendation from the university), after making an appointment in the Reading Room.
Appointments for visits to the Art Division Reading Room should be made by e-mail or telephone.

Books from the Art Division's reference collection should be searched in the Online Main Catalogue.

Materials from the Museum's collections are available by prior appointment. Detailed information about our collections can be obtained by contacting the Art Division or by using the card catalogue of collections in the Reading Room. We also encourage you to read publications about our collections.
